Spark Plug Wires

Postby Roshambo » Thu Aug 03, 2017 9:59 am

Hello again.

After having a little accident with a spark plug it's occurred to me that there's a lot of power flowing through spark plug wires.

Does it hurt that the wires running from the distributor contact each other? Should I be tieing them together in a certain way or as long as they're attached to the correct cylinder am I fine?

Shouldn't hurt a thing that they touch each other, unless the insulation is dry rotted or cracked.

There is a bracket with a rubber grommet that attaches to a bolt on the top of the head that the plug wires should run through. I wouldn't take off the hood to add one though.
