Hi All
I have been restoring my cub over the last 2 years.
It is a 1947 model with 6v positive ground.
I have used this forum to help me, but now I am stuck!
I have wired it up with new wires and according to the diagrams here on the forum.
I have polarised the generator and it runs like a motor when connected accordingly.
When I run the tractor the cut out closes but then gets very hot.
At first it shows a slight charge of about 4 amps but then starts to discharge.
Not sure what could be the problem!
Please help!

Double check you wiring. Check the stamped letters under the wire clips on the cut out or regulator to make sure it is wired correctly.Warren1 wrote:I have wired it up with new wires and according to the diagrams here on the forum.

Thanks so far.
For the motor question,
If I disconnect the F wire and put power to the armature it turns slowly.
If I touch the F wire on its post it turns faster...
