Hmm, well at least you won't notice any oil leaks. And, "Hey! It matches my bowling ball!"
To each their own, I guess.

That's a case of, "well, got this gallon of paint over here, what the hell!" Actually, not a bad price for a running cub with a Woods mower. If they actually prepped the tractor properly for the paint job, it would be easy to scuff up, prime, and paint the right color, and have a really nice looking tractor! However, I'm worried about "the whole tractor was sand blasted...." That's a real good way to get sand into places that you REALLY don't want!

Yeah, it's pretty close by me but I'm not sure I could spray red over that classy paint job! No sure who's heart would break mine or his! Hahahaha

I saw this. If I needed a Cub, that color wouldn't slow me down a bit. None of mine have a paint job that nice. Get the decals and grill on there, paint the wheel centers and rims and I think it'd look pretty cool. Lord knows theres enough red Cubs out there.

Not sure the decals would show up good on that brown.
I'm a purist, I still say red it was red it should be. Lol

Re: Cub For Sale Youngstown OH
Maybe it looks different in person, but my first impression of the photos is like one of those metal home decorations that has been acid etched to make it rusty, then clear coated to preserve the look. I prefer the factory colors, even if not in the correct combination for the particular year, but if someone else likes something different, that's their business. $1000 for a running tractor and mower seems like a good price, though.

I think it's cool personally. I'd like it more if they had finished it off with lights, grill, battery box and painted wheels. Everytime someone paints a Cub it's to their personal preference. Almost everyone has something that's not "factory" so why not do the whole thing that way? Along with what clintmo said, theres a couple hundred thousand red ones out there, a brown one wont hurt. Just dont paint it green....

If I was closer and had the funds, I would love to have that brown Cub, and the green IH truck.

My grandfather was an Oliver dealer back in the early 1960s. Back then, they had the Oliver Super 44 and 440 models that were offset and similar in size and appearance to the Farmall A. What if a Cub was painted green and white and decals applied to create the ultra rare and little known Oliver 220? Only in jest, of course.
