Does your hood have the side ribs?

The pre cleaner on the air cleaner top is interesting, I have seen at least one other one on here in people's pics. I don't find anything about it in IH brochures or manuals, or the parts manual.
Jim B., do you know if IH offered those. :)
I don't think they were ever offered on the cub tractor, but may have been available for the combines or balers that used the cub engine.

you are part of the problem!!!

I was asking Twotone if his had side ribs. I'd like to see a photo of his hood.

The older I get the more "pieced together" I become. I would guess the same happens with Cubs!

Hi,
John, the baler with the Cub engine does have an air cleaner pre-screener, but it was a different style than the one BSR has.
Here are pages from the 50 Baler parts manual showing what they had.

I think places like Tractor Supply used to sell the style BSR has, but I'm not sure, just a possibility. :)

Nothing but a novelty. I remember a few years ago they were selling the 'special' glass mason jars that fit on them.

Not in the Cub parts book.

IH never (to my knowledge) listed a pre-cleaner for a Cub. They did in some lists give the tube diameter each one fit. Nothing said you couldn't put one on a Cub. I doubt that it happened very often until people started "restoring" them.

That is called a pre-screener.
