1951 Cub dies

Postby elkshead » Sat Sep 30, 2017 6:43 pm

The cub dies after running for a minute or so. What do I check to find the problem? Where do I start? Thanks in advance.

That's my bet, the engine is burning what is in the carb and something is restricting the flow from the tank.

Fuel flow problem as previously suggested.

Start up the tractor, half throttle. When engine dies, shut off the ignition. Wait for 3 or 4 minutes, then start engine. If engine starts and runs for a minute or so, fuel flow restriction.
I have an excuse. CRS.
