Hello,
I have a 1948 Cub with a J4 Magneto. It is a 6volt Positive ground electrical system with a generator. Is the electrical system totally independent from the ignition system? It appears it is but would like to confirm.
Thank you,
Steve

Re: J4 Magneto / Electric system
Yes, the mag generates it's own current, it doesn't need the 6v. system to run.
