Elbow Connection

What is connected to the water outlet elbow?

Do you mean the flex hose to the radiator? Check parts manual TC37F (Quick Links at the top left corner of this page will have a schematic and parts list.)

No,not the flex hose,
There is a connection under the tube with a bolt hole,
Iv'e seen one with a long bracket bolted it but
can't find what the bracket is attached to.

Generator belt adjustment bracket, other end is attached to the generator.

Here is some info.
Below is a page from the Cub owner's manual showing the original electrical system with the hood off.

Below is a page from the 1955 Cub owner's manual showing the bracket some, that is the newer generator, with the voltage regulator, same bracket as a system with cutout, or Relay had.

Below is the whole 1949 Cub owner's manual. The experts on here recommend reading it, it has lots of info about operation, maintenance, and lubrication. It shows how the Cubs originally were also. There is a table of contents on page 1. :)
