Best place to order Cub parts?

Postby bkvsr » Mon Nov 06, 2017 8:36 am

I'm needing some odd&end parts to get my Cub running, have any of you ordered parts from Amazon before and was wondering about the quality of the parts there and does Amazon sell for vendors listed in this site, also who has the best carb kits? Thanks again.

I have had great service from TM Tractor. Usually receive parts in 2 or 3 days and shipping is reasonable. I never order carb kits. My experience has been that most of the parts never get used. I determine the parts that I need and order individual parts.

Steiner Tractor Parts is very good as well. Plus they give you free Cow Tails in your box of parts!

We have a good NAPA here for sparkplugs, points, etc. Few miles down the road we have a CAR-QUEST that's excellent for IH parts. And of course, don't forget your local caseIH dealer if you have one close. They may not have Cub stuff in stock (our local dealers do because they're so common here still) but they can order it.

If you don't want to pay shipping, lots of parts are available from NAPA auto.

Yep, the Cow Tails! I ordered a hydraulic pump gasket kit last week from Steiner and it showed up in my mailbox 3 days later.

Caramel with white stuff in the center. They are delicious.

I prefer ordering from site sponsors, I'd rather have the forum, than cow tails!

...unless they sent a donut with your orders!

Yep, on the site sponsors, but sometimes they don't have what you need.

Cow tails not enough to offset that shipping. Lol

Those look good, but chewy caramel and false teeth do not go together very well. :(

The shipping was about the same between Steiner's and TM. Local Case IH dealer would only sell the gaskets separately, not as a kit. And the Steiner kit had a couple more parts than what TM listed.

In the case of TM, oftentimes. Selection has gone way down over the years. Customer service is fantastic and I buy there when I can.

My default source is my local NAPA, then caseIH dealer, but they’re 30-45 minutes away so it’s easier sometimes to order online.
