After doing some tuning up on Massey, new guts for the distributor, checked, clean and gap plugs etc, got the hood back on and in my excitement to hear her sing again I stripped the threads out of the top portion of the carb while putting the fuel line on.... :censored: :censored: :censored: ..... need to listen to my own advise about rushing....

I'm in the same boat. I've got to helicoil the threads on my Cub's carb too. Bolting it back onto the manifold, I was using a short wrench to keep from getting too happy. As I turned the bolt in, felt contact resistance and less than a half turn later, it stripped. Then I doubled down on the other bolt after the stupid "maybe it would hold with just one" idea which I knew darn well better than to do.
Waking up the ol' Cub

Nah, it's not leaking oil. It's just marking it's territory.
