There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Hi,
IH changed to the Delco 10 SI alternator in mid 1975 at serial number 248125, the first long stripe Cub.
IH had their own brackets, which are different than the brackets some companies sell to put an alt on a Cub.

Here are pics at TM Tractor of the upper radiator elbow, which is different, and part of the mounting.

http://www.tmtractor.com/tm-tractor/gel ... pp_001.htm

There is also a bracket at the lower side of the alt, I don't have a pic of it, except in the pic below.

Below is a pic of the IH mounting. The wiring will need changing some to use an Alt.
Other companies sell mountings to put an alt on a Cub. :)

If you're not concerned about getting it back to perfectly original here's a good option. It's a simple one wire connection, nothing else. I have it on both of ours with no problems. There's several people on here running it as well. The price has came down again too!

Because I couldn't fab my own brackets I got the Steiner bracts and then had to modify them a little bit for my 10si clone on the Cub.

Thanks, I have no problem about not being original. I just have a few 10 si not doing anything

It's not that difficult to convert a 10SI to one wire. I've done a few. I'm running one on my Cub, but I didn't convert that one.
Waking up the ol' Cub

Nah, it's not leaking oil. It's just marking it's territory.
