15" Front Rims - weights?

Postby mva1958 » Sat Dec 02, 2017 1:43 pm

I have 15" factory rims on the front of my cub - I'd like to add weights in anticipation of plowing snow this winter. The standard IH Cub front weights for 12" rims won't fit; does anyone know of a weight that I can use, like something made for another tractor perhaps? Thanks!

What kind of wheels are they? Tractor wheels or truck/trailer wheels? If they are tractor wheels weights from a Farmall 140 may fit.

Tractor wheels - I think they were offered as an option; I know they were part of the High Crop package but my cub is not set up as a HC. I looked at pics of the Super A/100 series weights and I don't think they'd work.

Steiner offers several wheel weights. You may have some luck on there.

Here's a pic of the wheel - no mounting holes for weights at all:

Tires are 4.00-15 ag tires, must've been an old car. I looked at some pics of the 15" HC wheels, and they do have bolt holes for weights so I guess I have some sort of frankencub...

yes they are ag tires, but they used car wheels, the cub came with 4.00-12 tires, the high crop option used 3.00 x 15" wheels with 4.00-12 tires and the weights from the 12" fit right on the 15"
