Ideas to fill out a TM order

Postby Matt Kirsch » Thu Jan 11, 2018 7:33 am

I need to order a key, but it seems silly to just order a key. I'll order two keys but it still seems silly to just order two keys.

I have oil filters up to my eyeballs. Both Cubs have relatively new ignition parts, hoses, etc.. They don't really need anything that I can think of.

What type of key are you ordering? Machine and ignition keys are available locally.

If you really want to fill out an order for things you don't need, I will send you my Cub Christmas wish list.
I have an excuse. CRS.

But to answer your question...gaskets, such as for final and engine oil pans and valve cover?

Ignition key.

I know I can get a key cut locally to the A1146 profile, or get one at the dealer, but it won't be the "clover" key that TM handles. Only one seller on ebay lists them at twice the price plus shipping.

If you're worried about getting the most bang for your shipping dollar, I would think they could slip them in an envelope and get by with a single postage stamp.

Yeah, but it looks like they charge for a small flat rate box regardless...

I ended up ordering two keys and a hood pointer for my '67. The old one is pitted and tarnished, and it would cost more to re-chrome than to go with new.
