I recently re-discovered these photos in the corner of a drawer. They were taken on May 28, 2001, - the day I became the proud new owner of a Farmall Cub. A line of heavy thunderstorms rolled through the area that morning, and because the truck driver had other places to be and other things to do unloading took place right in the middle of a particularly heavy downpour. Just as the Cub was put under cover, the rain stopped and the sun came out. Since I was already soaked - and I figured I could dry just as well while riding a tractor in the sunshine as anywhere else - there was nothing to do but fire it up and take it for a ride.
