Millie Wins Again

One of the local steakhouses, Texas Steakhouse, sponsored a car show this past Saturday night. Just for poots and giggles I loaded up my ol' 51 "M" and took her into town on Friday evening. Unloaded in one of their other parking lots and just rode in like I owned the place. Had about 60 or so cars, trucks and so forth there...but as always only one tractor.

Got the ol' girl settled in and went inside, had a big ol' ribeye and a couple bourbon & cokes, came back out and enjoyed the evening. Around 8:00 they came around looking for me with a trophy...Texas Steakhouse Choice Award - Best In Show. I was tickled to death, shocked really.

They had me pull up on the sidewalk out front for a photog session, gonna use "Millie's" picture for the dash plaques on their next show in the fall

My daughter had been encouraging me all summer to go out to a cruise-in one night, just have a night for myself. Glad I went...it was a good evening.

The local Texas Steak House folded years ago. It was owned by Boddie-Noel of Rocky Mount, NC. They also owned the local Hardee's franchise where I used to work part time. Congratulations, nice score, maybe your tractors pix will show up in the company news letter.
