Very few finer folks than George have walked (or plowed) this earth. Truly a hero and inspiration to me. Rest well.

God Bless the Willer family. George had more wisdom in his little finger than most of us will ever have. This world is much less without him in it. My "George Willer" autographed hand-hole cover is very special to me and priceless now. God speed my friend.

I have not met a finer citizen that GW, He was willing to share anything, got to meet several fine folks as well, through the gatherings at his home.

George had a great impact on my sons as well several humeous times at SRCAP.
Marilyn , Sheila and my prayers go out to you and the boys,
My faroite Georgizm was at Bigdogs cubfest 2005 i Believe we were around the campfire and he was talking to someone about airplane tires, they were talking how they cannot dispose of them , George said , " BFI (Local Garbage handlers) will not take a whole tire , but will take 2 halves twice"
A dear Friend
Phil

I have been thinking about what I wanted to say here, and it is not easy. I had read many of George's posts, but had not met him in person until the second Cubarama, and again at the 1st Cub Tug. We occasionally corresponded, and I frequently wished he were not so far away. George was the type of person that when you met him you felt as if you had a friend for life, and he lived up to it. George will be missed by many people, and Marilyn and the rest of his family have our thoughts and prayers.

Farewell to a good friend. I will always cherish his counsel and wisdom. Looked forward to the work sessions at his home after his health declined.

I only met George once, at his 2003 Cubfest, but I considered him to be a friend. He will certainly be missed.

Someone said the measure of a life is the friends you leave behind - I like that thought and the fact that the posts here are so genuinely in admiration of a great friend and role model!
As time passes and I get nearer to that great passage, funerals seem to be becoming more of a celebration of a life :D ; what a life to celebrate, and to bask in special memories!
Mrs. George and family, you can tell by all the preceding how much you all are valued by this Cubfest of friends!
Prayers of thanks and celebration for you all!
May you have the comfort of the Lord and all these wishing you well!

As others have mentioned, George was one heck of a man, I felt very privileged to be have been able to own one of his favorite Cub tractors, Casper. He was very detailed and thorough in all that he did, and it showed when you saw one of his restorations.

When you would talk to him, you understood his passion for these little tractors.

He will be missed, my sympathies to his family.

I did not have the pleasure of meeting him personally, but his postings here have been of incalculable benefit.

My condolences to his family, I'm sure they miss him much more than we ever could.

Mr. Willer gave a great deal to all of us here. I remember when I first came to this web site, and he helped me sort my Cub tractor out. I had a mixed bag tractor that was part demonstrator and something else.

His wisdom and willingness to help even a far off stranger impressed me so much that I decided to keep my tractor and do a full restoration on it - no matter what it was.

Turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. This also goes for the rest of the members here. Mr. Willer set the bar up high for all of us to help each other. Let's live by his example.
