Ten years ago this week I lost my wife and the mother of my children. Married 20 years, although in a better place, she is still sadly missed. Earlier that same week I lost my father, a wonderful role model for me. Many have asked how I dealt with such loss. Honestly, I don't know. I was focused on my two kids and my mother I suppose. I don't remember a whole lot, the following weeks and months were simply a blur. Time they say heals all wounds, but I feel it only stops the bleeding. The scars remain for life.

It's sad to hear of your great loss and how the memory lingers. I'm sure there's not a day that goes by that you don't think of them.

Time does not heal the wounds it only learns you how to live with them.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Ray. Nothing can replace a loved one and time may heal, but it never forgets.
