Hello everybody-
I just found this site last week. From a quick look, it seems to be more useful for a Farmall Super A owner than some other sites that claim to be the best!
I grew up in SW Michigan on a family fruit and vegetable farm - working there from about 1963 to 1978. During that time the only two tractors in service were a Super A and a mid-'40's McCormick-Deering O-4 orchard tractor. I could have had both of them for NOTHING when my uncle sold the farm in 1978, but I did not realize at that time how good of an offer that was. Thirty years later I finally had the space and spare change to start satisfying my tractor needs. I now have a 1950 Super A that runs great and looks pretty good. It is a virtual match for the one I grew up on expect for a few options that I'm trying to locate. I've got my eyes on a real derelict O-4 in a nearby county, but I have not been able to strike a deal with the owner as of yet.

Welcome Duke. I also own a Super A and find this site by far the best for anything Farmall-IH.

Welcome to the Forum Duke. I don't know anything about Super A's, but some of the other guys sure do.

Wecome aboard Duke. Where in SW Michigan? I'm in the Niles / Buchanan area. My dad had a Farmall A, great tractor. Traverse City is God's country. When you get a chance, post a picture of your A, we'd like to see it. Did you use it this winter plowing snow?

Duke: G'day to you and thanks for the kind words for our community. It is the members that make this community what it is. Even though we are Cub orientated, we realize that many of us are fans/owners of other tractor types as well and there is a fair amount of expertise here one the other varieties as well. Also, most of the resources are geared for the Cub but we do have some information on the Super A - you can find it on my server under Manuals and the pdfs are also hosted here on the forum under (New Manuals). Enjoy the ride

Duke, I don't know where a nice O-4 is but there is a nice O-12 for sale a few miles from here. I haven't seen it but the pictures look good. http://swmi.craigslist.org/grd/3671983637.html
