New owner here. I've acquired a 1961 Cub Lowboy serial number: 15125J. It is yellow and looks like it was originally yellow. I am the 3rd owner. I don't know these beasts at all. It runs like a top and is quiet! It does have a bit of an oscillation (RPM) where it goes up and down like the throttle is not stable. My guess is the carburetor. Could someone tell me if I have anything special here? There are partial components for attachments as shown. Looks like a two point hitch (fast hitch). The hydraulics work fine. Still 6 volt. Thanks for any help. Oh, I need a good source for parts and a good manual.

It looks like a nice straight tractor, but not very comfortable to sit on! 
It does have an incomplete fast hitch (1-point). I also notice the mounting block for a front-mounted blade. They are inside the square bracket under the front end, held in by the set bolts in your 4th pic.
As for the surging, the first thing to do is check the adjustment of the carb to governor rod. Its a very simple procedure. Do a search on this site and you'll find the method.

Thank you. I pulled the seat off to start tearing it down. There is also a bar that connects the rear hitch to the front hydraulic box and two U-bolts? that go over the ends of the rear hitch. Thanks for the tip on the governor rod.

YES! DSCF (Deep South Cubfest) is a must...especially since you are right there! Many of us drive 10+ hours to go! It's great fun, you learn a lot and you can either help folks work on their tractors or bring yours and get help! Great food, and of course, lots of BS!!!

Thank you all for the comments. I look forward to Sneads in February. I will be on the lookout for a belly mower. Any suggestions where to search one? I love tractors. I've only recently gotten in to them. I recently completed a hybrid Ford (9N/8N). The cub is my first IH. I noticed that everything has the IH symbol on it. Very cool. Anyway, here is my Ford--hopefully seeing a Ford on these pages won't be offensive.

Nice looking Loboy. I had a 61 just like it! It was and still is a good tractor. One of my tractor buddies talked me out of it.
Clean the jet on the side of your carb, I have seen that make mine surge like you describe.

Welcome to the forum! Yes, you will like the DSCF. A really great time. Dale is a piker, when it comes to drive time to get there. By 10 hours, I'm just getting warmed up. Sixteen hours and worth every minute of the trip. Others travel even farther/longer.
