new to here and to tractor ownership
Hello everyone from new york. I recently inherited a cub from my father in law who passed earlier this year. He was a die hard IH guy. He had taught me a little bit about his tractors over the years but not everything. Glad I found this site. He had alot of IH tractors but I always told him if he ever got rid of the cub I wanted it. The reason why is because when I lived in Florida he was down visiting from Maryland. We were driving along one day and he started holloring at me to turn around, so I did. He then tells me to pull in to this action house. So I did. There sits this cub. No one around. Its the middle of the week. Actions were held on the weekends. I dont even remember how, but he managed to track someone down and out right buys this cub. He then proceeds to rent a moving truck to load it in and haul it back home to maryland from florida. Ive had it home now for a couple of months and Im having a little bit a carb trouble. Ive read a couple post on here that I think will help me resolve my problems. Thank You all for such a great site.

Cecil is the guy to talk to if you want it rebuilt. But if you want a new one, got to tmtractor.com. a new can be had for about $50 more than the parts to rebuild it. I found this out the hard way. Don't know the performance of the reproduction carbs, but I do remember a post on them a few years back .
