New from Missouri

Postby Kostendorf » Thu May 09, 2019 5:13 pm

Just aquired a 1957 cub and it fits perfectly in with the rest of my IH lineup. A 1650 cadet and a 460.

Welcome to the forum. From your zip code, it looks like you're near Troy. I'm a bit south of there on Highway 47, near Bonne Terre. As mentioned above, there is a CubFest in California, Missouri next Saturday, the 18. I'm going to try and make it, and I hope you can also.

In addition, the last weekend in September each year, the Thursday, Friday and Saturday, there is an event in Fredricktown, Missouri, called Cubarama. You might have heard of it, it's about Cubs and Cub Cadets, but basically anything IH related.

Again, welcome.

Welcome!

Take some time and read through a few threads to acquaint yourself with the Forum:

After your 2nd post on the Forum, you'll have access to the all the free PDF Manuals. They are located via "Quick Links" in the upper left corner of your screen. Hit that and a pull-down appears where you'll find "PDF Manuals". Through that link, you'll be able to download an Owner's Manual (very strongly recommended) and any service manuals that interest you. You'll be able to familiarize yourself with your new-to-you Cub more quickly. Implement Manuals are also available.

Might also enjoy reading through this thread: What to do with a Cub you just brought home

Take some pictures of your tractor and post them. We’d like to see it.

Glad you joined us.

You slipped in without me noticing, welcome to the forum. I used to live near Troy till I Escaped, and finally made it back home to Potosi, by way of Hawk Point, West Plains, and Pottersville before returning to my original home area, never more to leave. I hope. As I recall there used to be a real good IH dealer in Troy, I believe on S. Lincoln. Don't know if they are still in business or not. The older gentleman that had owned it before his kids took it over and my dad used to really love getting together and talking about the old F12s, etc. I do not know what is there now, it has been 35 to 40 years since I lived up there.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
