Hi Folks, my name is David.
I have my Grandfathers 1960 Cub that has been in our family since day one.
It has been, and continues to be a truly dependable tractor.
At the age of 5, I was set on the seat, while the Cub was crawling along without a driver, the "grown ups" loading potatoes from the large garden onto a trailer. Safety in 1966 was a little different than now.
Since that day, I considered the tractor "mine", and eventually grew into it and was able to change gears and operate it more efficiently and safer as time went on.
A lot of water under the bridge, and one heck of a pile of gas through the Cub since those days.
The Cub continues to work well, although the Hydraulic system is giving me a bit of grief.
I believe I have found the correct spot for information and Cub camaraderie.
Thank You for the Support by the community!
David

Absolutely! You'll find a host of information, including most manuals, plus a great subsection called the HOW TO. In that section you will find two different posts on rebuilding the 2 different touch control blocks. If you end up going the rebuild route, make sure you order the correct kit, based on tbe block part number. It is not a difficult task, but should be done in one day, so you don't loose track of your work status! It requires a clean area to work, and a few tools that are mentioned in those HOW TO's.
Don't forget to check the fluid level before you start digging into a rebuild. It is quite common to have the pump shaft seal (or o-ring) leak, allowing the hydraulic fluid to drain the system into the engine oil pan. The easiest way to diagnose this is if the engine oil level starts rising!
Welcome, and take good care of your "family member"!!

Welcome! Glad to hear you still have your grandfather's Cub.
Take some time and read through a few threads to acquaint yourself with the Forum:
After your 2nd post on the Forum, you'll have access to the all the free PDF Manuals. They are located via "Quick Links" in the upper left corner of your screen. Hit that and a pull-down appears where you'll find "PDF Manuals". Through that link, you'll be able to download an Owner's Manual (very strongly recommended) and any service manuals that interest you. You'll be able to familiarize yourself with your new-to-you Cub more quickly. Implement Manuals are also available.
Might also enjoy reading through this thread: What to do with a Cub you just brought home
Take some pictures of your tractor and post them. We’d like to see it.

Thanks
I will definitely check the fluid levels and determine the version of block to ensure proper kit is acquired.
Greatly appreciated!
