Hello from NC!
In the process of buying a 1948 Farmall Cub. I'll pick it up next week. I'm sure I'll have questions and I'll likely spend a lot of time reading through some threads here....which will probably answer a LOT of questions before I ask them!
Looking forward to dragging it home and having some fun with it. My INTENTION is to get as many period-correct attachments for it and starting a garden from scratch. I'm experienced at gardening already.......but mostly get by with a dragger roto-tiller on an old lawn tractor......or a self-propelled roto-tiller......not to mention hoes and rakes and wheelbarrows...
Oh yeah. The family has a Farmall 140 (1960) we keep at the coast, so that might get brought up from time to time. But the Cub ain't too different, so I have a little experience with the tractors.

Welcome, from another NC-er! There are a bunch of us here! I'm in Chapel Hill.
Until you get your "new" toy, look around the forum...lots of good info here. Check out the HOW TO section, my favorite.
And you have time to read this: WHAT TO DO WITH A CUB YOU JUST BROUGHT HOME.

Re: New 'Cub' Guy from NC
Thanks for the responses, guys. I've got pics of the '48 (can't believe the condition!).......and I'll post a few after I actually take ownership of it. Right now, all it has is the cultivator(s) already mounted midships and a dragger. So I'll be adding more implements as I go.

Welcome to the Forum!
Take some time and read through a few threads to acquaint yourself with the Forum:
Don't know if you have any of the manuals for a Cub, but now that you’ve logged your 2nd post, you'll have access to the all the PDF Manuals. They are located via "Quick Links" in the upper left corner of your screen. Hit that and a pull-down appears where you'll find "PDF Manuals". Through that link, you'll be able to download an Owner's Manual (very strongly recommended) and any service manuals that interest you. You'll be able to familiarize yourself with your new-to-you Cub more quickly. Implement Manuals are also available, but the Owner's Manual alone will begin answering many of your questions.
We’d encourage you to take the Safety Test located in the Safety Forum: http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=68084
Might also enjoy reading through this thread (even though it’s for a Cub, much can be applied to any tractor just brought home): What to do with a Cub you just brought home
There are a lot of good threads dealing with Cub repair and maintenance in the How To Forum. Located here: http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=11
Take some pictures of your tractors and post them, we’d like to see it. Remember, when you have a specific question, start a new thread in the appropriate sub-forum and use the Preview button before hitting Submit--it'll show you exactly what your post will look like.
Glad you joined us.

Re: New 'Cub' Guy from NC
Thanks, Stanton. That's some great info. I'll be sure to check it out.
Right NOW I'm at my brother's. He's got the Farmall 140. Been putting that through the paces. Can't wait to get the Cub and put IT through the paces. But next best thing, right? I LOVE the fast-hitch on the 140. I'll be looking to get something similar for the Cub....and when I show photos you guys will be happy, I'm sure, to advise the best conversion kit for her.
Hey. This won't be a showroom machine. I am going to USE it!
