Time's a wastin'

My '55 Cub has been in my family since 1974-75. We used it for pasture mowing but it mostly sat uncovered in a pole barn in Indiana. I recently took possession of it after the death of my dad (8 years ago) and mother's recent relocation off the homeplace. One of my favorite photos of my dad is of him tooling around on her shortly before his death from cancer. He would have blown off in a light wind but he was happy as could be to be up and going behind the wheel. I have her running and let her out to exercise often. She leaks oil around the pan gasket but doesn't smoke and purrs like a kitten. Second gear knocks like a little man with a hammer and the mower belts are wearing but all I can think about is how complete she is and how much better she'll be after the mechanicals are gone through and she gets a shiny red paint bath. I recently taught my kids how to operate her so the third generation of family ownership will be involved as well.
So I thought I would check it out to see if it was an Ad for bidness. 
I worked in a funeral home in Fairfield, Iowa (while I was still in college). The Raymond family owned it and they were GREAT PEOPLE to work for. I still have a little trouble with strawberry milk shakes after seeing the bottles of Royal Bond
