I have been a member of the group for about 3 years. I live in a small town near Umass Amherst where I am employed, note I said employed not work ,you know all those state worker jokes. I was raised on a small farm which I now own. We had a green and yellow tractor when I was young it burn't down our barn, long story.
With 7 children the farm was too small to support the family, so my father went to work for the usda as a tobbacco grader. It was a great job but he was on the road much of the time. The best part of that was for 2 or 3 weeks every summer I would travel with him to the Carolinas ,Maryland ,Virginia, pretty any where on the east cost with tobbacco. I saw a lot of great farms and met a lot of nice people. I always wished our farm had been bigger and I could live the life of a farmer.
Our old green tractor was rebuilt after the fire but it was tough to start and deal with. So at the age of 14 in 1971 we got a 1967 cub from day 1 it was mine. Until I was legal to drive a car that cub got lots of use. Jump forward my parents have been gone a while I have that cub with a bunch of implements and now last month I bought # 2 a 1975 don't ask why it just happens as most of you know.
Enough of the long wind , this is a great site and as said many times
you meet great people through the site I am thrilled to be a part of it.

welcome to the forum, and congratulations both hanging on to the old cub, as well as getting the second one. You need one cub per implement don't you?

I never did trust those green and yellow tractors. I wouldn't put it past one of them to do something like that.

Seriously though I'm sorry to here about the barn We lost two good old Fergusons the same way. Glad to meet you (at least electronically).

Joe- Welcome back. And like I always say, I'd like to see pics!! Enjoy those Cubs, I'm sure you will since you have the implements!! I agree with John, one Cub per implement. I've got too many implements. Really no such thing ... better stated: NOT ENOUGH CUBS!!!

Joe:

It is great that you have been able to keep the family cub in the family. And the fever is just beginning to hit, so far it is low grade.. by #4 or 5 you should be almost full blown infected :!:   Image
