Hi all,you guessed it, I am Kyle's (cubguy) Dad. He finally talked me into getting on board. I have been a collector for thirty eight plus years and I still have my first tractor a 1937 john Deere A, there have been lots of equipment that have come and gone since then. My 1953 Cub I have owned for twenty years, I am the second owner, it is all original and it is used quite a bit around the property. I have been profesionally working on tractors, trucks and cars for over thirty years (ASE Master Auto & Heavy truck). My first job (1977) was working for Tecumseh Equipment in Tecumseh Mi. It was an International Harvester dealership and we sold everthing Harvester made except Paystar trucks. Yup we had Scouts,Power equipment, Farm equipment and Trucks (Cummins and Detriot diesel) I worked on trucks and switched into tractors and Scouts as needed. Things were much simpler then compared to working on today's cars. For the last five years I have been teaching automotive/diesel & welding at the County Career Center. Kyle has been the youth and princple motovation in this father/son team. Kyle has done an excellent job with his Cub and all the other things that he has collected/restored and is a very good wrench as well (I am very proud of him). Undoubtably, you will see us at some of the Cubfests coming up this year and I am looking forward tol meeting everyone. I did say to Kyle that it is not so much the end product (restored Cub) but it is rather the journey involved in the restoration. This 1947 Cub has led him to and allowed him (us) to meet the fine people that comprise this forum and club. Kyle will probably do the talking for both of us as I will more than likly stay in the background offering guidance.
Keep up the good work
Mark (Cubguy's Dad)

Welcome Mark. Thanks for the Jeep info. I am sure I will ask you more than enough questions starting with the Jeep and moving on to the air system in the 11 Ton truck that seems to puzzle me at times. More on that later. Glad you decided to get on board!
