Hi Y'all. I've been on the cub forum a few times now but haven't introduced myself. I'm from Brookfield, Nova Scotia, Canada. I have been watching this for a while and finally had the time to say a few words. I work for the TIR (new version of DOT) I am 40 yrs old and have 6 tractors, 7 if you want to count the new Kubota. I have a 50' Cub, 53' Super A, 50' H, 53' super H, 50'John Deere A (sorry, have one green one.)and a 65 Minniapolis Moline G1000 wheatland. My wife say's that if I purchase another tractor I'm dead meat. Well, that puts it quite bluntly......so I have to sneak. And...perfecting my trade, I have found a super C.Going to look at it Sunday I hope.

Welcome to the forum. Don't worry about that "Dead Meat" statement. I have heard it (or variations of it) a few times. I have not taken it serious yet.

Welcome to the forum. I work for Michelin, and make it up to Nova Scotia every few months. I am quite certain that I have seen Brookfield on a sign, would it be on my way from Halifax to Granton (Pictou county)? Seems like I may have wandered through or near Brookfield at some point. I also go from Halifax to Bridgewater, and occasionally to Waterville, over in the valley....

Hi Rick, Yup, I live 0n the 289 which is about an hour from Halifax on your way to new Glascow. If you take the brookfield exit onto the 289 you have to go right by my house. The 289 takes you right back to the 104 in New Glascow. Its just a different route to the Michelin Plant. More Scenic. My Aunt works for Michelin at the Granton Plant. Dagmar Carter. Ever Heard of her?

Mike:

When are you finally gonna come to Moncton?

Gord and I go to visit Dale in Debert quite often. Maybe we can plan a mini-fest at Dale's as well? \

Bout time you got back on the forum.

Hey Rudi!
Whats up? I was just in Moncton last weekend for a hockey tournament! I have to go up to Woodstock some time to pick up a potatoe digger from a fellow. I can stop in then. I'll have to get directions. We go up every once in a while, visisting my inlaws. We go to Minto and Lorneville. Yes, Dale is some kind of restorer isn't he? I don't know if anyone does a better job than he does or not. he does some dandy's for owen and lorne. He does them right.I am terribly jelous whenever I go to see him. He makes it look so easy, and he is so particular......He does really really really nice work.

Mike:

Well, we have been wondering where you got to.... I guess life just happens.

Yup, Dale is probably the best there is in our parts at least. Otherwise Lorne nor Owen would be after him... but I know he wants to retire and just do a bit for himself.. he has a lot still to do for his own collection. He is currently doing some Cub-22 stuff for me.. be ready in the spring. He just did Gord's 48 Cub's TC install.

Let me know when you are coming through.. coffee at least has to be an option.. so give me a ring. Bring momma along -- I am sure she will enjoy a chat with Em.

Rick, if you gotta go to Pictou I think you are even closer to us... than Hafilax.. .. is a minifest possible?
