New from So. Illinois
Hello everybody, I just wanted to tell you all a little bit about myself. I live about 75 miles east of St Louis. I currently own three cubs. A 48 cub, a 49 cub and a 64 cub lo-boy. I`m sure I will learn lots from this site and all of you cub pros. If I can just figure out this computer and how to navigate the site. So please bear with me while I try to learn. By the way I`m also a 49 model. Greetings to all,Rod

Welcome Rod, You'll find a lot of Cub lovers on the Forum. If you already have three, you probably know a lot about them. If you have any questions or problems, feel free to ask.

You are probably closer to me than Chad, if you are close to I-70. I am over in Paris. Just north of Marshall. Make sure you mark your calendar for the 8-9th of April next spring, we will be having the Illinois cub gathering, ie DocFest at my place. See the link below my signature line for the details. See you then. John

Re: New from So. Illinois
Rod, welcome to the group. With three Cubs already in the barn you must have some experience with them. The folks here will help you (or you may help us) any way possible.
You are about 65 miles from Chad from what I see and 130 from John. Close enough for a minifest now and then.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: New from So. Illinois
Rod,
Good to see another So. Illinoisian on the forum here! I grew up in the Mt. Vernon area and still make to Salem/Centralia several times a year to visit family. Welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of great help, ideas, tricks, and most of all friends! Keep a look out for a 'Cubfest' in your area ( or far away if you like to travel). Here is a link to the rest of the 2010 Calendar and the 2011 Dates so far scheduled. http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47817&start=0 It is a good way to get to know folks and spark some new friendships. Don't ever hesitate to ask...there are lots of helpful folks here, with lots of knowledge( myself not included in this category! )

Welcome Rod. I'm a bit north. I'd never been around Cubs prior to 9/25/10 but everyone here has helped me get my Cub ready whether it be snow or spring field work.
