Another Ga Boy

Postby Georgia Boy » Mon Mar 07, 2011 9:50 am

Well thought I would go ahead and get this done, been a member since November 2010 and visit the forum and chat daily, but just haven't got around to doing this. I have only met a couple of forum member personally and both guys seemed like really good people. I have talked to three more on the phone and all but one seems like good people to, (just kidding Dale).
I live in the hill country of Northeast Georgia, a born and bred Georgia Boy. I grew up on my grandfathers 150 acre farm and just really enjoy farming. I guess you could say it is in my blood. I have two children, a boy and a girl who are both married and have given me 4 wonderful grandsons. My wife is a Ga girl and was also raised on a farm. She knows what it is like to look to the end of a corn row and wonder if she will ever get to the end of it with a hoe in her hand. A good hard working woman she is.I also enjoy fishing and hunting.
I have only one cub, a 1975 new international cub that I have owned for 19 years. It has been a good tractor and I just recently rebuilt the motor and put some paint on the hood. It was starting to get very tired.
I am planning on hitting a few of the cubfests this year and I hope to see ya'll there!

It's nice to read the introductions, makes you feel closer by knowing something about a member. Have fun and hope to meet you at a fest one day.

From one Georgia boy to another welcome to the forum. I am about as far south and west as you can go and still be in Georgia. I am bordered on the west by the Chattahoochee RIver and on the south by Lake Seminole. Hopefully we will met at Ron's fest in October. If I can ever help you in anyway, do not hesitate to ask.

Make you come to Stonethrow the first weekend of October! It's just down the street in Gillsville. The finest folks gather there from all around! :{_}:
