Hi guys and gals. I joined back in '06 or '07 after I bought my dad's 1948 cub from my older sister. This was also after taking title to an old homestead in Adams county, OH. My dad, brother, and I farmed tobacco with the cub back in the day. I still have the sickle bar mower, as well as the cultivators, but dad had sold the disc and mold board plow. Here I am in the back yard of the homestead. A rose between two thorns, so to speak. Some of you will recognize this setting. And this one. I took the cub to the Winchester Caramel Festival for the judging and parade. I won best of unrestored tractors. I have since bought a second piece of property in Adams county where I am rehabbing a 1957 ranch house. The 1956 INTERNATIONAL 350U W/ Loader resides in the 24'x32' pole barn at that location. Hope to make it to some of the events in the future.

Thanks guys for the welcome back. The last several years have not been conducive to messing with the cub, but now I'm spending more time in the country and need to work on her some. The tractor, believe it or not, has always been kept inside and well taken care of, but that doesn't prevent rust and bird droppings in southern Ohio. I appreciate the kind words about my "working clothes" beauty and I would consider keeping it original exept that it's not really original as it sits today. When I was a kid back in the late '50's our neighbor (the one with the Farmall H that I drove) rolled it down a pretty big hill with the cultivators on it (fortunately he was able to jump clear). As a couple of guys pointed out at the '07 Cubfest, the hood/dash are the short ear set-up making them post '49. I wasn't old enough to remember what parts besides the hood and dash were replaced, but I'm sure there were several others. What I eventially want to do is to bring it back to "correct" for 1948, first by changing out obvious/noticable things. Then I would work on the mechanical and electrical systems to make them relatively correct & operational. That would include rerouting the positive battery cable; fest guys may recall the garden hose set up that dad's neighbor did for him. Then since I need to convince my kids/grandkids to keep the tractor in the family, I will give it some paint down the road.
