Hello from Oklahoma!

It's great to finally be a member of the club! After dreaming about owning a Cub for years, now I have two of them.
When I was a kid the first tractor I ever drove was my Grandfather's Farmall 200, which I now own, so I've been a Farmall fan for most of my life. Even though I intend to restore the 200 someday, I still wanted a Cub for mowing and other chores. (I hate being cramped up on riding lawn mowers) Well everything finally came together last Saturday and I found an ad for two Cubs, one running, one not. I went to look at the running Cub and came home with both of them!
The ad said they were a 1953 and 1956 but a serial number check when I got home showed them both to be from 1952, and only 3 serial numbers apart. (148110 & 148113) They're pretty much identical with Touch Control, PTO, Electric Start & Lights, Adjustable Front Axle, & Rear Wheel Weights. The running Cub has what I suspect is a IH-Danco C2 Mower (nameplate is gone) and the non-running Cub has some kind 2-disc setup mounted under the belly. I'll try to post some pictures later to see if anyone can help me confirm what the attachment are. The non-running Cub hasn't been run in a couple of years and needs the carburetor put back on and a battery. Hopefully I can get it going pretty soon.
The gentleman I bought them from was a WWII vet and an absolute joy to visit with. He had owned the Cubs for a very long time and still used the running Cub for occasional mowing around his property.
I'm glad to be here and can't wait to start tapping into the wealth of knowledge and wisdom here in the forums!
