Hi! I just picked up my first Cub, an early model in running condition. I learned to drive on my uncle's Cub many years ago and I've always wanted one for puttering around the property. As I say, this one is in good running condition. I just had the engine rebuilt. I'd like to find a belly mower for it, as I want to use it primarily to cut grass. At this point I'm trying to find as much information about it as possible. I noticed the "manuals" link above doesn't work to open the older cub's operator manuals. Is there anywhere I can access the manuals?
I look forward to the help and friendships I hope to find on this board!
Pete

Welcome aboard. I know your area well. I used to work in Chenango Bridge and live in Oxford. You should consider comming down for Cubfest Northeast in October.

Pete: Congrats on acquiring your 1st new to you Cub There is a lot of information available to our members and as you are already aware the Manual Server is one of them. Suggest following the links below and enjoy the read: Now to address a comment: kinger wrote: I noticed the "manuals" link above doesn't work to open the older cub's operator manuals. That is actually incorrect. The Manuals will open with just about any browser in the world with the exception of one. I can probably guarantee that you are using Firefox .. right? And that is the reason why the manuals will not open. Firefox is essentially the dumbest browser on the market. It should be able to be backwardly compatible so that older generation pages wil load. Unfortunately Firefox does not do that. It does not understand/is not compatible with HTML 3 and below. So the fix is to use either IE6 plus, Google Chrome, Apple's Safari, or Opera which is one of the ones I prefer. Hope that explains it. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to send me a PM.

Thank you for the welcome! I'm looking forward to learning lots from this forum! Rudy, thanks for the tip. I installed Opera, and viola! There's the manual pages, as you said. Now I have to get familiar with Opera as well as my new tractor!
