Hi All,
I just got a 56 Cub this past summer. She sat for 10 years and is in rough shape but I did get it to run when I got it and was some what in pieces but it came with plow, disc, push blade, sickelbar w/the pully, belly mower, cultivators, spike tooth harrow, and manuals for most of them and the tractor for the price of $1000....not real sure but I feel I did not get hurt on it.
I have put new rings in it, #1 cyl. broken compression ring and all cyl. had bad oil rings, rebuilt the hydralics, I can't stand wheepy hydros., and replaced the 1 rear tire as it was rotten and the other was new so I put a like new with rim and all on and tighten up the steering to take the high speed death wobble out, and had the Generator gone over, and changed all fluids, so I am into it for 1500 bucks and now getting ready to make her pretty.
I have done 8 and 9N's in the past so this will be the first Cubby and must admit for some reason I am growing feelings for this little tractor and just may keep her.
I am sure that I will be askin alot of questions and some will be head smacking simple.
I am a Stationary Engineer by trade, single no kids(that I know of), non-PC, Hillbilly and proud of it, also I am hopeing the software here will catch any Bombs I may drop so I don't offened anyone..lol

Check out the announcement section for Cub Fests, I encourage you to head south for a couple in Ohio later this year, you won't be disapointed.
Good luck,

Welcome Clay. Sounds like you have a great Cub for the money. Do you know Kevin Ketcham? He is is from Marshallville, also. A longtime member here.

I have heard of the name, we may have a common friend that I just refer to as Deputy Scott or Popo Scott and I am sure I heard the name Nussbaum (sp) I think has a body shop and raises Shepards (Dixies doing great and my dog and her are buddies). They also may have heard of me as The Hillbilly.

The boys were over and drinking a few adult beverages in the garage and I was showing my latest toy off and one of them (his name is Webster) asked if I knew of a Kevin and that Kevin was the go to man in the area for Cubbies and or Farmall....one thing about a small town, everybody knows everybodies business
