New Cub Owner

[Donegal Cub]

Hi All,
I have recently bought a 1948 Farmall Cub made in USA. It has no hydraulics, and was accompanied by a sickle bar mower wrapped up in bits. I live in Donegal the northernmost county in Ireland. Hence the user name (Donegal Cub). I have very limited mechanical knowledge have lost the use of my left hand in 1973 in an accident involving a woodworking machine, but I have never let it get in my way or hinder me in anything I want to do. I love old machinery and am a member of our local vintage club. We hold a show every year on the first Sunday in August. Approx 200 tractors and approx 100 vintage cars + threshing + baleing + steam engine + many other associated events appropriate to a good vintage show. There are very few cub owners in this neck of the woods and I would appreciate any help, Pics Etc on how to assemble and hook up the mower to the cub & how it can be lifted and lowered. This is a fantastic forum for guys like me (new cub owners) and I am also a greenhorn on the computer but for an old guy I'm learning fast. Wishing you all the best,

A cub is going to challenge your creativity, since they were designed for many of the functions to be done with the left hand. It will simplify things if you can find a touch control system for it, TMtractor.com has many brochures on their websites showing the implements, as well as Rudi's site having most of the manuals.
