New Member Central, ILNew guy to the forum, I have only been here for a few days and have gained a wealth of knowledge on these cubs from everyone posting on here and I appreciate everyone sharing their $0.02 to help others out. I recently bought my first cub this spring for $275 not running or driving and partially sunk into the ground. It is a 49 with a rebuilt C-3 belly mower and a recently overhauled engine. It was parked for 6 years in a pasture after being retired from regular farm use before I purchased it. I rebuilt the carb and fixed some wiring with the help of some of the diagrams supplied on the forum and it started on the first attempt. As of now i have a little work to do to it before it can be put to work and eventually some new paint and shoes. Look forward to learning some more about these and eventually helping others out myself.

Re: New Member Central, ILHey welcome to the club. I only joined last month and also got a lot of good information from the posts (including how to free a stuck clutch plate) for restoring my Dad's old 1946 Farmall A. I got it running and the clutch free after it was sitting up for 12 years. Looking forward to mowing my 2 acres next month here in Texas.
