I have been reading and enjoying this forum, and even asked a few questions, but it just came to me that I never introduced myself, so here goes. First, the BZSZ1942. That's Bill and Sylvia Zachow, both born in 1942. We live in a 230 acre farm just outside of Chittenango, NY. Both of us grew up on farms and we love the land. While we do not actively farm, we do keep roads and fields mowed and occasionally, do so serious logging. To handle all these chores, we have 4 cubs and 2 larger Internationals--a 444 and a 454. The cubs are 2 loboys and 2 regulars. The latter are a 49 that I purchased from my father in law in 1983. It came with weights, chains, a belt pulley, sickle bar, land plow and a snow plow. I currently use it to plow our driveway. One of the loboys has a Woods 59 mower and it handle our 2 1/2 acre lawn. The other lowboy has a sickle bar mower that the PO perfectly restored, along with the tractor. The last cub, a non loboy 53 is currently in pieces in my haybarn. I hope to have it finished by May, and it will become our trailer and woodsplitter puller. The big tractors handle our farmi winch, hydraulic dump trailer and the New Idea 7' mower. Thanks for reading and allowing me to introduce myself. You have a fantastic website with more information than I can ever hope to absorb.

Welcome to the forum!

You should plan on Cecil's Cubfest Northeast in the fall.... always a good time. He also hosts a spring mini-fest too.

Nice part of the country you live in. As a kid I used to go swimming in Lake Cazenovia, and my Grandparents had a dairy farm in Clinton. Then sold it to open up a furniture store in Port Byron. My uncle David had several dairy farms around your area. Welcome to the forum and wanted to say I love NY!!

Welcome Neighbor! Well, I actually live out in Grand Island (Buffalo), however I work for a company in Syracuse and get out there often. Matter of fact I'm going tomorrow morning for a meeting. Although I'm a bit younger, I've owned a few Cubs and Lo Boys, and grew up working on them at my father's dealership in Ohio. Welcome to the greatest forum around!
Bill

You will not be sorry. Hey, I'm going to be driving eight plus hours from Ohio. This is the get together Cecil is referring to Northeast Spring Minifest: April 20th, 2013 - Valatie, New York.
