New From western PA

Postby Drew&Cassie » Thu Oct 03, 2013 11:49 am

Good afternoon every one. My name is Drew and with my fiancee Cassie we are currently on the hunt for our first Cub. I grew up around a blood line/show cattle farm and she has always liked tractors even more so if they are red. We live in the heart of Erie PA and our garage is off an ally. We're the only ones who use the alley and the city barely plows the main roads let alone the side street and they don't touch the Alleys. So we are looking for a cub to move the snow. This will be our first tractor and tractor project.

Welcome to the forum Drew. You'll find that any question you have about Cubs will be answered here.

When you find the Cub you want ask us questions about it first before buying. You never know, someone here may help keep you from getting a lemon.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Welcome, Drew & Cassie. Enjoy the ride. As for the '52, if it is the one I think it is, please send me a PM. There are a couple of landmines you need to be aware of. I'm not far from you, just a few miles on I90.

City life in Erie has to be a far cry from a show cattle operation. I'm a retired County Ag Agent, so I can relate a bit.

Drew & Cassie:

G'day to you and I wish you much success in finding your 1st new to you Cub.

We have a lot of resources available to new members and I strongly encourage all new members to follow the links below and read the material therein. The How a New Cub Enthusiast Can Inspect a Cub Purchase article is a good one to read prior to purchasing a new to you Cub. A very worthwhile read.

Image to Farmallcub.com :big smile: Forum Family. And you have come to the right place for all things Cub related. If you click on the Site Rules, Regulations, & Important Information, it will point you to  the Welcome Wagon wherein you will find links to many useful sites and topics. One of the most important resources are Owner's Manuals, Parts Catalogs and Service Manuals. The Cub Manual Server is the home of the jpg versions and the /index.php]PDF Manuals -- well the pdf's of course  Enjoy!.

Hi Drew and Cassie! I am down in the northern burbs of Pittsburgh. Quite a few of us folks in western PA! Good luck in finding the right cub for you and your city property. When I lived in La Crosse, WI, I had two cubs and a cub trailer in my rickety old garage. The only duty that the cubs had were rides around the neighborhood and plowing our alley in the winter. You'll love a cub!

If you are ever in the Pittsburgh area, feel free to drop me a line...I LOVE cub minifests...
