Hi! from Little Bean Farm
Hi! I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Liz and I operate I small market garden/farm in Ohio. I grow vegetables and cut flowers on about 1/2 an acre using walk behind and hand tools and about an acre of dried beans using a Ford 8N for field prep and an old Farmall Cub for cultivation. I set up the cultivating sweeps on the Cub for 2 row cultivation last year and it worked okay, but hilled some dirt up around the base of the bean seedlings which they didn't seem to like. I'm interested in other folks experience using the cub for 2 row crops. This year I'm also setting the wheel base as wide as I can, since last season once the beans were a month or so old I was worried about running them over. (I seeded them with a Cole Multiplex using the Ford 8N which has a wider wheel base than the cub).

You might try using knife weeders. Check #5 on this page:

I don't know a source. Maybe one of the others raising small vegetables can give you a source.
