New guy from SC

Postby Ssquared » Thu Dec 22, 2016 9:37 am

Good morning Cub fans. My name is Drew and I am currently cubless. My wife and I are in the process of building a house on roughly 2 acres. After a few years of living in more city environments we now have some more space. She is an avid gardener and for years she has wanted a cub. Hoping to learn a good amount here as I start the shopping process to find a good tractor and tips and tricks to keep it running. Thank you.

Drew, Welcome to the Forum. Good luck with the hunt for a Cub. It will be much easier since your wife wants one too. :D Let us know if we can be of any help.

Thank you for the warm welcome. She's not afraid to turn wrenches. I am a cabinet maker by trade she is a design engineer for Otis Elevator. We are planning on going to the cub fest in North Carolina in June even if we don't have a cub by then.

You might want to take in the weather at the Florida CubFest in February also,

Sadly we have a prior commitment that weekend or we would be headed down.

I see you are in the Florence area. Our farm, where he cubs live, is in Cades between Lake City and Kingstree. We are there fairly often, let me know if I can help you find or assess a cub tractor and implements. Personally, if your wife is going to garden with it, I would find a fast hitch version and implements; otherwise she will be frustrated by having to change implements (plow to disk to cultivators, if she plans to use them all).
