Checking generator and voltage reg.

This is what I rigged up to check gen. and reg. before I install them on cub
It is just an old washing machine motor mounted to a piece of plywood
with a gen. mounted to the other side
Here you can see where it is wired up. Wire going from gen terminal on reg. to Armature terminal on gen.
Wire going from Field terminal on reg. to Field terminal on gen.
wire going from Bat. terminal on reg. to neg. side of amp. guage
wire going from pos. side of amp. guage to switch to Battery in floor
Wire going from mounting bolt on reg. to gen. groung to pos. terminal of battery in floor.

This makes it very easy to adjust before you install on cub
BE SURE AND TOUCH WIRE FROM BAT TERMINAL ON REG> TO GEN> OR ARMATURE TERMINAL ON REG FOR A Split sec. to polarise it
