Hand Cranking

Postby Jeff Silvey » Tue Jan 13, 2009 8:04 am

Incidently, you might want to review your cranking technique. If that little C 60 kicks back you're gonna have a very sore arm (or worse).

This statement was from Bigdog on another post so I just wanted to post pictures on what he was saying. Most of us have had this problem. You learn by the hard way. There is a lot of new people on the fourm that don't have a clue how to use a hand crank. This holds true with antique engines if you still have the cranks. I put all mine in a drawer.

First picture is NOT the PROPER ver BAD. way. If it kicks you could break your thumb or wrist or both.

Second picture is the Correct way.
