Fuel Cap from my 48 Super A

Postby 48Cub48SuperA » Wed May 16, 2018 9:38 am

Fuel Cap from my 48 Super A. I plan on cleaning it. The question is, where can I get a new rubber ring seal for it. The old one rotted away. Is it rubber or cork? NAPA?

Get a new cap, for free. I ordered one a couple weeks ago and had it in 4 days, free.

You can get the gaskets from a dealer, but I agree with Shane, get one of the new safety caps. They look different, but can save your tractor, or maybe even you.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Cork.

I like the new caps, but the safety aspect of them is a bit over-blown. As long as the tank vent stays open, it's perfectly fine. (The original lawsuit that brought about the free cap program was due to the negligence of the tractor owner.)
