Hey everyone. I wanted to take a moment to say hello to the group. I live in north central NC up along the VA border. Last spring, I was able to bring home a 63 140 with several pieces of equipment. While it does need a little sheet metal work and a fresh coat of paint, she runs strong and operates smoothly. The bonus for me was it came with badges that match my grandfather’s tractor. It may not be his, but it’s as close as I can get and the connection is still there for me.
I’m now on my second garden with the tractor. This year has went more smoothly as I’ve gotten more accustomed to the machine and have improved my ability to adjust my implements. I continue to be amazed at the capability of these machines.
My current endeavor is to find a front end loader for it. I’ve located a Henderson manufacturing loader for sale a couple hours away that is listed as being off of a 130. Not being familiar with them at all, I hope I can determine if it would in fact work on my tractor. And I’ve got to find the time to go check it out. It’s cheap enough to expect to rebuild or replace most if not all the hydraulics.
I also want to give a shout out to a member here. Hi Dale! I purchased a grader blade from her (love it!), and she recommended this forum highly. She’s a super lady and it was my good fortune to meet her.
I’m looking forward to getting to know the folks here and hope I can contribute to the discussions. I’m definitely a newbie, but I’m always looking to learn and enjoy these great machines. God bless.

Re: Newbie says hello
WELCOME!! So glad you found your way here! Have you sent off for your free gas cap?! (Just another reminder!)
I think there are quite a few 140 owners on the forum, several in the NC area. I'm sure they should be able to answer most of your questions, if you post them in the FARMALL A....140 section.
Have fun, and FYI, there is the CUBOLINA Cubfest in Sanford, NC. Sadly, I will miss it this year, but I think you would have fun...a chance to meet quite a few forum members and "local" IH owners. Bring your tractor, parts needing repairs, or just come with your list of questions. Chances are someone can help!
Enjoy the ride with your new "toy"!!
