I have a C113 oil pump that I tore apart and lapped the top to get better oil pressure. As I was cleaning it up I noticed a pitted part on the curved part as I stuck a cloth with screwdriver to clean out the hole for the tube to go in the screw driver went through it. My question is can I JB Weld the hole shut? It is on the pot metal part that you sand (lap).

Re: Oil pump JB Weld
IMHO I'd be afraid to trust JB weld on my oil pump and would opt to replace it. It may last forever....but if not?

Re: Oil pump JB Weld
JB Weld is definitely strong enough to hold pressure from an engine oil pump. The big problem is going to be getting it clean enough of oil for the JB Weld to stick properly.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
