Oil pump spring C113 or c123 engine

Postby JSTRICKLAND » Thu Mar 28, 2019 6:52 pm

It is my understanding that the oil pump for both engines are the same? If so what length is the spring in the pump? I have one torn apart and have found two flat washers under the spring. I have the new gaskets for the pump. Are the washers suppose to be there or did someone add them to try and boost the pressure. I lapped the surface back smooth and I am ready to reassemble. Guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Oh yea it is for a 49 Super A.

James :thanx:

Same base part number, A through 140. No washers.
2-15/32 free length, 1-5/8 at 26# pressure.
