Small Bush Hog Question

Postby SDiver40 » Sat Apr 27, 2019 4:44 pm

Just wondering if anyone has seen one of these before?
My neighbor let me have this in trade for helping him load some heavy implements on a trailer.
I havent done any measuring to check it out, BUT appears it has the bolt pattern to fit a Super A's rear axle. Possibly a Cub?
My Super A doesnt have a PTO so I cant run it even if it fits. Is it worth trying to clean it up and make it usable?
It's not froze up but it is stiff to turn.
IF so I may try to find a PTO to go on mine. Any Help is appreciated.

I have had and used several of these on Cubs. But to be sure, it should be a Model 412-C, where C is for Cub. I can't remember if the C is stamped on the id plate or not. I still have almost 3 whole decks, at least two mule drives, and maybe spare parts. I have switched to Woods mowers in order to get the over-running clutch. There should be a pulley (app 7") to go on the PTO, and be sure you have all the clamps/brackets to attach ti to the finals. On some mowers, parts easily get left attached to the tractor, you might check with your neighbor assuming he had it on one of his tractors.

Thanks for the info. This is all he had left over from before his dad passed away. IF it is missing clamps or brackets i'm sure they are long gone.
Plus I wouldn't know what they looked like if I saw them OR where they fastened.
I'll probably just sale it or trade it if someone wants it? I really dont need it since I have a larger tractor with a brush hog.
Thanks again
