I have an IH 1000 on a 130. I liked the loader on the cub. I love the loader on the 130.

If you find one for sale inspect the rear mounts to see if they were cut. I lot of the ones that were on loboys were cut. If they are cut it may not fit on the A-140.

On the A-140 is the loader basically like a wheelbarrow as it is on the cub or can it be used to move more?

It has much more ability but it still is not a loader in the traditional sense. It is far easier to steer with a load and you do not think you are going to break the tractor all of the time. The previous owner replaced the boom cylinder with a larger two-way cylinder ( and the control valve) on mine so I have downforce. Stil digging is limited.

I mostly use forks I had made to move logs, debris, and implements I have on plastic pallets. It is a great field forklift to about 500-700 pounds. I have double rear wheel weights on each side. I use it almost every day I am working the property.

How long does it take to swap between a loader and the 144 cultivators?

The IH1000 loader is not an easy swap even if you have another loader to help lift. If you have an IH loader is it best to think of the tractor as dedicated in the middle and front. You can still use the back but may not have all of the mounting holes on the finals

The other loaders may give you more options I do not know.

You've now given me reason to get another tractor :D

Wishing I could find my Grandpa's 340 as it had a loader.

Definitely best to go dedicated and get another tractor. There is always a good reason why you need another tractor.

I have a couple of 2000 loaders here that were/are on 2504's 574's, etc.. One was on my 404 ( 340 sized tractor) when I bought it and came off the day the tractor was delivered! These should fit the 340, which I have one of, but around here we have gotten away from tractor loaders all together. For us they are useless and we went to skidloaders and never looked back and now all the tractor loaders just sit in the back row waiting to be junked!

One thing I want to make is a reversed cub or sunstar and make a garden tractor sized loader to use in small areas and places where customers wont allow us to use the skidloaders. Dont need to carry much over 300 pounds tops.

Here are some photos of my 130 with the IH 1000 loader. I have forks on it instead of the bucket at the moment. Moving firewood bin.

As you can see the IH 1000 ties up the front and the middle implement locations on the tractor.

If looking to purchase a loader look to see if cut. The rear holes are used in the A-140 mount
