I'm surprised my '52 Super A does not have an oil pressure gauge like my '52 Cub.
I'd like to add one - is there a convenient place to do so?

Allen, unless your Super A is that different than my B, the gauge is in the similar location as the Cubs, on the oil filter housing facing rearward. Is there a small pipe plug there instead? If the Super is not the same, look on the crankcase behind and below the oil filter housing. The larger Farmalls used a threaded 1/8 pipe connection and piped to the gauge mounted elsewhere. I just looked at my parts cd, and it shows one on the rear of the oil filter base.

John I could not find that in my parts manual, but I am missing a few pages... Do you recall what section you were looking in?

Allen: Just checked location on my SA. It mounts on the rear side of the base of the oil filter housing, probably a couple of inches forward of the junction of torque tube and motor. There should be a small threaded tube extending from the base of housing or a threaded indentation if tube is located on the guage. I didn't want to remove mine to see which is the male part. Dan

Allen, the parts cd is layed out a little different than the book, but it is the illustration showing the block and camshaft.

Aye, here's the rub!
I don't have a hole there, because my engine is not the original Super A engine, it's a transplant from a power unit apparently! Now I need to find a different spot for the gauge?
This is the closest pic I have of that area...

If I remember right a C or SC have the same bloc as the SA.
You might think about rebuilding a engine & just switching them.
fresh ,tight engine & correct mounting to the bell housing.

Hey, that's a great idea!
I could have the engine rebuilt without giving up use of the tractor!
I think a lot of the tractors used the C113 engine, so now all I have to do is find one...
Anyone have a spare C113 lying around in need of a refresh? A, Super A, 100, 130, 140,...

I think the power units had a port on the side of the block for an oil gauge. Might be some "creative plumbing" could get you a gauge you could actually read from the seat!
Building a "correct" engine would be pretty easy. Anything from a Super A through a 230 would work. Of course a Super C and up will be a 123 but it still should be a direct boltup. A 140 motor will be a little different in the front cover area (They had a water pump integral with the fan hub for example) and I don't know if that would bolt up right or not.
