My Farmall A has a noise where the transmission meets the drive shaft joint disc area. How can I tell if it is the bearing or shaft joint? The transmission gear teeth look OK. The noise is very obvious in 4 gear when in labor and has a wowh wohw rhythm.
any advice would be appreciated, Fred

Whine is gears, growl is bearings.
Bigdog If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.My wife says I don't listen to her. - - - - - - - - Or something like that! http://www.cubtug.com
