Mathew:

You will find the TC-36E Parts Catalog for the Farmall A on the Cub Manual Server at the link below in my signature line. I also have a few others as well. The guys on the forum are a wealth of knowledge.. and a number of them have a great amount of experience with other Letter Series Tractors such as the A. Have fun working on your Dad's tractor... :!: and welcome to the very best forum on the internet -- period :!:  :D

That makes it a fairly early 1940 model (1940 = 6,744 to 41,499). The electrical system was installed later as tractors that early didn't even have a provision for a starter. There was a factory upgrade package to do the conversion.

Welcome Matthew! Good luck with that "A". Looks like you have front wheel weights on that tractor. They are worth a pretty penny. 8)

Mathew please be careful hand cranking the A, on up. Kick back will knock you for a loop. Be careful to bring the crank to the downward position engage it and pull up only , DO NOT crank around and around or you may find yourself in the middle somewhere with a broken arm.
Good luck
Nice " A"
Phil
