A is like the Big Brother of the Cub. Has an engine that's almost double the displacement of the C-60 (112 ci), and generally larger all around. It also entered production sooner than the Cub. I don't know when it ended production. I have yet to see one with hydraulics - was that offered on the A?

Hydraulics weren't available until the Super A came out, I think in 1948, which replaced the regular A. The A did have an exhaust lift option though, but I've never seen one. But I haven't seen alot af As. I think they were quite common in tobacco country though.

My friend's A has an exhaust lift on it. Wild-looking device.

There are two hand lift levers shown in the picture on the 'A'. What are they for? I thought the one to right of the seat was for plow depth but it doesn't look right...

Brian,
The lever to the right of the seat is for a cultivator. The lever to front of the tractor is for a mower deck.

The lever on the right of the platform, plow and cultivator levers look similar. I believe this one is a plow lifting lever. The one on the bell housing, depth control for a plow.
